Broadband, Telecommunications, & Information Technology

Broadband, telecommunication, and information technology are critical infrastructure to the 5th District of Colorado. As tourism grows on the Western Slope, it is crucial that we have the necessary infrastructure for businesses to market themselves and to fulfill orders in the most efficient way possible. The growing reliance on technology in agriculture means we must create an environment that invites innovation. It is also a safety issue for remote areas to have adequate infrastructure. Children need to be able to do their homework at home and not have to drive to a store parking lot to finish their homework. We must create a statewide and local environment that allows us to bring in the needed infrastructure. Our economy needs it to sustain growth, but more importantly, our residents and visitors need the infrastructure.
