Forest Management
Forest Management is a key issue in the 5th District and the State of Colorado, as a whole. We must take care of our forests. The ecosystems of our forests are critical to the state and our way of life on the Western Slope. It is imperative that we understand what is happening in our forests and how to care for them better. Recently, beetle kill has caused devastation in areas around the state. This is an issue the state of Colorado needs to address. I believe that industry, localities, the state, and federal governments can work together on this issue and on the issue of overgrowth in our forests.
