Colorado Chamber of Commerce Endorses Marc Catlin
Montrose, Colorado – On July 11, 2024, the Colorado Chamber of Commerce announced their 2024 general election endorsements , which featured Marc Catlin’s name for Senate District 5. The announcement comes after the Chamber’s Political Action Committee Board conducted a thorough interview and vetting process for all candidates in the race. This process evaluated candidates on their campaign strategies, as well as questions on topics ranging from affordability, energy regulation, and workforce development.
The 5th Senate District is comprised of seven counties: Delta, Eagle, Garfield, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Montrose, and Pitkin counties.
The Colorado Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to be the “unifying voice for business and champions a healthy economic climate to secure Colorado’s future.” The chamber’s mission is showcased in Marc Catlin’s dedication to his community via his many years as the Agriculture Chair for the Montrose Chamber of Commerce, over eight years as a Board Director for the Montrose Economic Development Corporation, being an ag lender during the farming crisis of the 80’s, owning a successful real estate brokerage firm, all while being a farmer.
Marc Catlin says, “The endorsement from the Colorado Chamber of Commerce is an honor. It is a critical time in Western Colorado, we need to ensure that our business community, both big and small, can continue to thrive in our beautiful home. We have worked very hard to represent everyone, this includes our business community. Marc Catlin is currently Colorado’s 58th District State Representative, which represents the eight counties: Dolores, Delta, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Montezuma, Montrose, Ouray, and San Miguel. Representative Catlin is Vice Chair of the Agriculture, Water, & Natural Resources Committee, a member of the Capital Development Committee, and Ranking member of the Transportation, Housing &; Local Government Committee. Marc Catlin is a resident of Montrose, Colorado.
