Marc Catlin Wins Colorado’s 5th Senate District
Montrose, Colorado – Today, November 7th , 2024, Marc Catlin has officially been declared the winner of the election for Colorado’s 5th Senate District. This was the most contentious race in the state. Catlin came out on top, being elected with 52 percent of the vote.
The 5th Senate District consists of seven counties: Hinsdale, Gunnison, Pitkin and the split counties of Delta, Eagle, Garfield and Montrose.
Catlin says, “It is an honor to be elected as the Western Slope’s newest State Senator. This district is my home, and I am excited to get back to Denver to do the work of the 5th Senate District and the Western Slope. Our values need to be carried forward in the state senate. These issues are water, the cost of living, protecting productive agriculture, along with mental health and health care access. I will continue to represent the Western Slope way of life with common sense. I look forward to representing everyone in the 5th District, regardless of party. It’s a privilege to be your state Senator.”
Marc Catlin is currently Senator Elect for Colorado’s 5th Senate District and finishing his term as Colorado’s 58th District State Representative. Catlin is Vice Chair of the Agriculture, Water, & Natural Resources Committee, a member of the Capital Development Committee, and Ranking member of the Transportation, Housing & Local Government Committee. Marc Catlin is a resident of Montrose, Colorado.
