Rep. Marc Catlin Named Most Bipartisan Legislator

Denver, Colorado – State Representative Marc Catlin is highlighted as the most bipartisan legislator in Colorado Politics’ Batting averages of Colorado lawmakers | 2023 LEGISLATIVE SESSION article. The article showcases the “most and least effective legislators” in the 2023 General Assembly. The article, written by Hannah Metzger, can be found, here.

Marc Catlin’s name tops the list of most bipartisan member of the Colorado General Assembly. One hundred percent of the bills introduced by Rep. Catlin had bipartisan prime sponsorship. He was the only member out of all one hundred legislators to have 100% bipartisan sponsorship, while having more than 10 bills introduced. Catlin introduced seventeen bills in 2023. Rep. Catlin’s bills received an average 96% approval from all state lawmakers on floor votes. He also passed five bills unanimously through both the House of Representatives and the Senate. All Marc Catlin sponsored legislation of 2023 can be found, here.

Representative Catlin says, “It is an honor to be recognized as the most bipartisan member. I do not try to sensationalized the office, rather, I try to run things that we can agree will positively impact the 58th District, both western and rural Colorado. Our area doesn’t necessarily fit the one-size-fits-all model of the I-25 corridor. It is our job to explain to the urban corridor, when and where we need help.”

Colorado State Representative Marc Catlin represents the eight counties of Dolores, Delta, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Montezuma, Montrose, Ouray, and San Miguel. Representative Catlin Vice Chairs Agriculture, Water, & Natural Resources Committee, is a member of the Capital Development Committee and is Ranking member of the Transportation, Housing & Local Government Committee.
